An association of patients suffering from sleep apnoea was created in 2002 ! It is called G.U.P.P.C. (Continuous Positive Pressure Users' Group). It currently counts 85 members (December 2004).
Here are its purposes :
Sharing our
experiences, our day-to-day life, during patients' meetings
Organizing
conferences-debates with medical specialists (lung specialists, dieticians,
psychologists, etc …)
Paying
attention to any innovation which could improve our well-being
Circulating
reports and information
Organizing a party to allow members to know each other better and help one another to face difficulties
A member of our group is available every second Wednesday of the month (from 2 PM to 4 PM) at André Vésale Hospital, 706 rue de Gozée, 6110 Montigny-le-Tilleul, in the sleep laboratory (5th floor) with a view to:
